Think again about the reasons why the Northerners are never missing in that swampy areas of  Old Ojo Road growing and taking care of the fruits and vegetables, especially during the dry seasons. None of the species of vegetable exceeds two months before harvesting and selling them to the consumers.

According to Mallam Abdulahim, who had spent over five years in the business, he said that the only problem one may encounter is pests and erosion during the rainy reason, but apart from that, the turn over is very good.

You can start the business with at least N10-50k depending on the size of your land which is usually free because those swampy areas are mostly government owned property belonging to the Army or other governmental agencies.

It is always best to go into vegetable farming during the dry seasons from late September to March and when you do, you will be surprised that what you started with little amount of money can turn out to be something else before the rainy season comes.
